Many players dedicate hours to Adopt Me to get the pet they've always dreamed off spending countless time and effort to get it! For plenty of cases they see an opportunity to get the pet but without knowing it, they're giving up their account credentials and next thing they know all their progress is gone due to a simple mistake.

This blog will show you the Top 3 common ways seen recently in trading used to hack players as well as how to report hackers if you see one and potentially get your lost pets back!

Common Hacking Methods in Adopt me & How to Avoid Them!

1. Trading Website "Main Account" Scam

As seen in AMVGG and other Value Websites trade bots will post trade ads in the Trading Page commonly showing a massive overpay for something a lot of players have. These items include: Mochi Meow, Easter Bunny, Ride Potion, common eggs such as the Endangered Egg, Gummy Caterpillar, and more.

The idea of this is they want players to accept the trade and view their profile which will feature a Scam Link for players to copy and paste and it will log-in to your account.

ⓘ If they do steal your account, usually they will as well make it a scam bot and have it done the same process, it's pretty much impossible to get your account back. In some cases, players receive their account back within a few weeks to even months.

2. In-Game "YouTube Channel" Scam

Unfortunately, this scam is extremely common and you can see hackers almost in every public server that will send out trades and ask you if you want to support their channel and get a "free" prize. If you view their profile, you can see a bunch of fake proof of them giving rare or valuable items to someone.

Ultimately, they will mislead you to a YouTube Channel which will have a Scam Link for you to log-in to which will steal your account, the hackers you see with valuable items are previously people that fell for the scam and got their account stolen.

3. The "Art Commission" Scam

This scam is one seen on Discord, the idea of this is they usually send pictures of "commissions" they previously did (these are fake) and will ask if they can do one of you. They will ask for your cookies/download for them to have a closer "preview" of your profile/avatar this is a scam that will **steal your Roblox account.

Your Cookies are your log-in data that is your current Roblox Session, giving a player this means they can bypass 2FA and steal your account. If you happen to fall for this scam clear your cookies in your browser settings immediately

ⓘ Your report will be sent to a channel where site mods will review the situation and ban the user, this may take a while as many reports are sent
