The scariest thing for any player is logging in one day to see all your hard work gone, in recent reports players have reported joining, and this happening to them!
With news spreading, it happens they are scared to join the game, as one should because of the discourse, but is it actually real...?
What Is the Hack: Who's Behind It?
The "hack" or better to say so called "script" was seen as of yesterday, it started with people adding the users (new accounts) under the username always with the beginning starting with RIFT_
As shown in the "proof" they were able to take your pets without you even trading them, weirdly enough the pets taken followed a sequence with key words, aiming for valuable items; Bat Dragon, Cow, Crow, Evil, Etc
Further screenshots of the hack showed different accounts that didnt begin with RIFT_ suspecting it could potentially just be another scare; thankfully Adopt me has Replied
Adopt Me's Response: What did they find?

"Forcing a trade in Adopt Me is not possible. This fearmongering rumor spreads around every couple months. Any time we have investigated these claims that someone has " forcefully " traded pets, we found that the user had their account compromised due to using exploits themselves, or through "traditional" hacks like fake links, etc."
Also adding, they have been investigating the issue but have not found anything related to a fraud in the Adopt Me system itself; anyone that has been attacked by the report can contact Adopt Me Support
Conclusion:
It's really hard to say, there isn't further info on the "hack" especially from the so-called victims of it, as we know if the game truly was under attack, Adopt Me would 100% reverse trading or put it on a full pause.
As of now, we do not have further info, besides that the whole thing might just be a early *Halloween hoax, no further reports have been made.
