The exponential rise of the Frost Dragon, our symbolic staple for values that has always kept it's reputation as a stable metric for valuation is now causing some issues within the community. When Frost Dragon rises in value, other perfectly stable pets has to drop in order to keep them relative to a Frost Dragon. This resulted in stable Mid-Tiers, Exotics, Mega Legendaries and pretty much every item dropping; just to make up for the rise of the Frost Dragon.
How do we fix this?
Frost Dragon will now be valued at 1.05 with the introduction of Baseless Values!
What are baseless values?
To break it down, baseless values are where the Frost Dragon isn't valued as 1 and instead can rise freely throughout time, this means pets have the ability to perform at their own current market condition instead of being reliant on a single pet (Frost Dragon)!
With the current system, values of items are locked to Frost Dragon being 1, so they all face consistent drops to adjust them accordingly everytime a Frost Dragon increases in value.
First Launch: Frost Dragon will be set at 1.05 and may be subjected to change; other regular high tiers and well-performing pets will be adjusted (increased) accordingly!
What are the positives?
Well, this update is actually just a huge positive! It allows for free room for pets to rise without being trapped by the Frost Dragon; this means Mid Tiers, Exotics, Mega Legendaries and other [items](values), as well as other pets, won't face consistent drops to adjust them accordingly with the current system!
Can't wrap your head around the idea of Frost Dragon not being 1? Not to worry, we are offering Frost Dragon and Ride Potion Values as an alternative! Users will have the option to toggle their Preferences at the click of a button.
Make sure to go to User Preferences to change your default settings on the values you prefer to use
What would this mean for me?
- if you use Frost Dragon values
For Frost Dragon value users, you can either choose to adapt to frost dragon being 1.05 or switch the settings for frost dragon to be 1
- if you use Ride Potion values
For Ride Potion users, there will be practically no difference other than improved accuracy and adjusted valuation for High tier values (increased)
