Values in Adopt Me have always faced a major issue of manipulation, whether its certain value sites, players, or influencers trying to up-rise their pet or cause the downfall of others! There are many ways manipulation is caused, and sometimes it gets too out of control; with pets either gaining high-trading profile or general community support!
What is Value Manipulation?
Well to put it simple, value manipulation is when people attempt to benefit themselves by either attempted to raise their own pet or dropping others! Lets take a look at a few ways this can happen
- Influencers "hyping" pets via tiktok and posting them being underrated and needing more value; people will see this as an early trend and try to catch on causing a FOMO effect!
- Fake offers are posted either in Discord or even on popular trading sites and their Trading Page!
How does AMVGG prevent manipulation?
It's very important that we keep manipulation fully under control and take those in account the effects of it when handling it! Take a look at a few things we do
- Site and Server Moderators are very active and handle site and server reports from members to report people of the cause! Manipulation is moderated harshly against and can easily lead to a server and site ban for someone.
- Team of Value Boards and Trade Helpers constantly look at value and in-game trades that have been completed to prevent any fake trade proofs and ensure the pet/item is truly getting its value
- Support and Site Reports are available to users if they catch something off by a user or a group of people trying to change the trend of a current pet!
It isn't one person simply only controlling the value many people agree with the change for a pet and look at actual trade proofs; You can see the team at our Credits Page
Why do pets randomly rise?
Time for the big question: Pets "randomly" rising that a lot of people seem to dislike! Well, this simply goes back to the idea of high profile traders and them truly want the pet and noticing its recent trend and worth!
Although a lot of average players or maybe even regular traders don't see the current value of the pet it's important we also look at skilled traders and what they are really getting for the pet as well!
We tend to drift away from site trades as we understand there are a lot of fake offers that happen there
